About this role

Market research interviewers conduct surveys and gather data from members of the public through face-to-face interviews, telephone calls, online panels and other research methods, following structured questionnaires and research protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Conducting interviews using structured questionnaires
  • Approaching respondents in streets, homes or by telephone
  • Recording responses accurately and completely
  • Meeting quota and quality targets for completed interviews
  • Following MRS Code of Conduct and data protection requirements

Qualifications and entry routes

No formal qualifications are required. On-the-job training is provided. MRS (Market Research Society) interviewer quality standards apply. Good communication skills and reliability are essential.
