About this role

Actors, entertainers and presenters perform in theatrical productions, film, television, radio and live events. They interpret scripts, create characters, present programmes and entertain audiences through performance skills.

Key responsibilities

• Auditioning for and performing roles in productions

Qualifications and entry routes

Many hold drama school training (1-3 year conservatoire programmes). RADA, LAMDA, Central and other drama schools are highly regarded. Equity membership is the professional union. Many successful performers enter through non-traditional routes.
